Chad, Brad and I went out there on Monday it the whole road appears to be built through wetlands. We told the owner her options and plan to go back to the site on Monday December 4th if you would like to join us. We will be taking some data points and measurements to figure out the total amount of impact. Give me a call to discuss further. Patty, Yes mam I would like to get together and determine who is making the new access. I will be in the field on Wednesday so I know I can't meet then but maybe the beginning of next week? I need to get Brennan plugged in as well as he serves as the New Hanover County Project Manager. I would likely invite the State Division of Water Resources as they would have required a permit as well. I did not talk with you about this last year but evidently my husband did reach out. He no longer lives here but is interested and could be available Wednesday afternoon, as could I. Would this work for you, and would you rather discuss this by phone or in person? I am reaching out to you for assistance in locating the party who is currently constructing the access. As you recall we discussed that a new road through wetlands would take a Federal Permit and based on the information provided the road appears to be in violation of Federal Law. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Brad -----Original Message ----- From: Herndon, T. I went out there last week and took the attached photos. DOT has no involvement in this activity and based on the wetland delineation for U-4751, this activity has impacted wetlands. Just wanted to pass this along since the inquiry came from a concerned citizen. Thanks!
