This inspection consisted of a visual inspection of outdoor conditions to ensure the facility is still in compliance with No-Exposure conditions. This inspection was performed per the request of Wendi Hartup and the Town of Kemersville to ensure their facility was still meeting the conditions of No-Exposure. Please note that the No-Exposure Certification has conditions that must be met at all times to remain in compliance. During the inspection of the facility it was discovered that the facility is still in compliance with the no- exposure conditions. A majority of activity at the facility is performed indoors with only clean, working machinery being stored outdoors. There is also an area where trash trucks are able to wash off. The water in this area goes to sanitary sewer but the area around the grate should be kept clean as well to ensure contamination does not reach the stormwater system. It should also be noted that although sampling is not required, it is still required that outfalls be kept clear and monitored on a regular basis. The outfall located at the northwest corner of the facility was overgrown and did not show signs of being monitored. This outfall should be cleared of overgrowth so that it may be properly monitored in case of issues arising. Please note that exclusion from permitting does not affect your facility's legal requirements to obtain environmental permits that may be required under other federal, state, or local regulations or ordinances. NCDEQ considers this facility Compliant and requests that you fix the minor issues and continue to monitor and maintain your facility.
