Subject: Courtesy notification for the use of a NW 3 & 13 request for pipe replacement and rip rap
placement on SR 1103 (Esclip Rd) in Pasquotank County.
This is a courtesy notification from the North Carolina Department of Transportation for the use of
a NW 3 & 13 permits for the replacement of a pipe and rip rap placement on SR 1 103 in Pasquotank
County. The pipe is located 0.6 miles from the intersection of SR 1118 (Dry Ridge Rd) (36.149876,
76.169381). The existing pipes are 2 n 72" x 60' Corrugated Metal Pipe. The pipes will be completely
removed, following NCDOT BMP's for pipe replacement. The proposed pipes are 2 @ 117" x 79" x 60'
Corrugated Aluminum Alloy Pipe Arch with rip rap on both ends. During the project construction it is
anticipated that dewatering will not be necessary and turbidity curtains will be utilized. Permit drawings
and a site location map are included in this letter. If you need any additional information or have any
