The Town of Kure Beach received the Notice of Violation (NOV-2020-PC-0013) dated
January 7, 2020. We are currently working to address the deficiencies identified in the
violation in order to be compliant. When the Town adopted the Universal Storm Water
Management Ordinance in 2007, it was with the understanding that the permit process
would be handled by the regional DEQ office. We will contact DEQ for a written
agreement. We will also review and revise the current ordinance to help with some of the
permitting issues. Other issues to be addressed include documentation of policies and
procedures and record keeping.
