The Pretreatment, Emergency Response and Collection Systems (PERCS) Unit of the Division of Water
Resources has reviewed the Industrial User Pretreatment Permit (IUP) drop request submitted by the
City of Reidsville for the following Significant Industrial User (SIU). This request was received by the
Division on January 17, 2020.

The review indicates that the SIU has ceased operation. The SIU's IUP was revoked effective January
13, 2020. Therefore, the SIU drop request is approved based on compliance with 15 NCAC 2H
.0907(c) and .0903(b) (34). The SIU list which is part of your approved pretreatment program is
hereby modified.
Federal and State pretreatment regulations require that the local delegated pretreatment program
effectively control and document the discharge of wastewater from Significant and Categorical
Industrial Users to the POTW. It is the POTW's responsibility to ensure that these objectives are
consistently met.
