Aqua North Carolina, Inc. (Aqua) offers the following response to the above -referenced Notice of Violation
which was issued for the inspections completed on September 24 and October 25 for the subject wastewater
treatment and reclaimed water utilization system.
AA ua's Response:
Ill. Operation and Maintenance Requirements
I . The pond aerators will be in use once the pond level rises for them to function properly.
2. Condition 3-The ORC designation form has been updated.
3. Condition 14- Hydrolinks (contractor for Aqua) has been hired to repair/re-shoot the
holding pond gauge. They will also be installing the 5-day pond gauge. This work is
scheduled to be completed by the end of December 2019.
4. Condition 15- Aqua contracts the landscaping of the easements to LSP (contractor for
Aqua). LSP currently mows the berm two times per year. The second mowing of the year
will take place before the end of December 2019.
IV. Monitoring and Reporting Requirements
I. Condition 5- Records for zones 5 and 6 were being submitted in the 12-month rolling total
sheet that is submitted monthly as no water being applied. Aqua has met with the certified
operator of this surface irrigation system (Brian Peters) and explained that fields 5 and 6
need to be added to the NDAR and not just the 12-month rolling total sheet. This change
will be reflected in the November NDAR.
