Dear Mr. Lawless:
The Division of Water Quality has determined that the Town of Beech Mountain's Pond
Creek WWTP is presently able to adequately treat the wastewater being received by the plant.
This determination was made using the compliance data from the March 2004 through February
2005 daily monitoring reports (DMR's).
When the analysis of the data was done, it was noted that the Pond Creek WWTP is
operating at approximately 36% of capacity using an average flow of the last 12 months DMR's.
Please be aware that if non-compliance becomes an issue in the future, this plant may
be placed under moratorium again.
