(S&ME) is pleased to submit the attached NPDES Permit Renewal Application (Short Form C-GW)for the renewal of the existing permit. No changes in the groundwater treatment system components or processes have been made since the issuance of the existing permit on August 10, 2015. Note that in submitting the attached application, S&ME is serving as an authorized agent of KBSIII on this project. A letter granting such authority to S&ME is also attached to this correspondence. Recovered groundwater is pumped into a holding tank where it is eventually routed through two in-line canisters filled with granular activated carbon prior to being discharged to the storm sewer system. The subject facility does not generate any sludge or other solids; therefore, a Sludge Management Plan has not been prepared for this facility.
