This office has reviewed the subject Sedimentation and Erosion Control Permit Application.
We find the application to be acceptable and hereby issue this letter of approval. I1 any
stipulations or recommendations are applicable, a list is attached and is incorporated is a part
of this letter of approval. Pursuant to Section 3.8.5 of the Durham C.ily-County Unified
Development Ordinance, plans fir which no permit has been issued shall expire one year
from the approval dale.
Please be advisW- that a copy of the approved plan must be on file at the job site, and a land-
disturbing permit must be obtained acid prominently displayed. Pursuant to G.S. 113A-61 (d)
and Section 15.5.1 of the Durham City-County Unified Development Ordinance,you are
herebv notified that the Sedimentation and Erosion C`Onlrol Office has the right to inspect the
site over the life of the project to insure compliance with the approved plan and ordinance.
The Sedimentation and Erosion Control Program is perlbnnance oriented,requiring
protection of the natural resources and adjoining properties. If following the commencement
or this project it is determined that the sedimentation and erosion control plan is inadequate
to meet the requirements of the Durham City-County Unifiied Development Ordinance,this
office may require revisions in the plan and its implementation to ensure compliance with the
Ordinance.
Pursuant to Section 12.10.6 c f'lhe Durham City-C_.'ounly Unified fevelopment Ordinance,
prior to initiating land-disturbing activity, the parson conducting such activity must notify the
sedimentation and erosion control q1 ce elf the data that such activity will begin:

NCG010000 Requirements
As of April 1, 2019, all new construction activities are required to complete and submit an
electronic Notice of Intent(NOT)form requesting a Certificate of Coverage(COC) under the
NC0010000 Construction Stormwater General Pennit.'Phis form MUST be submittexl prior
to the commencement of any land disturbing activity on the above-named project.The NOI
-form may be accesscxl at deq.nc.gov/NCGO1. Please direct questions about the NO[ fonn to
Annette Lucas at Annette.Iucas@ncdenr.gov or Paul Clark at Paul.clark0),,ncdenr.gov. Auer
you submit a complete and correct NOT Form, a COC will be emailed to you within three
business days.There is a$100 annual The for coverage.This fee is to be sent to the DEMLR
Stormwater Central Office staff in Raleigh.
Title 15A NCAC 413 .0118(a)and the NCGr0I pen-nit require that the following
documentation be kept on file at the job site:
I. The approved .E&SC plan as well as any approved deviation.
2. The NCG01 permit and the COC,once it is received.
3. Records of inspections made during the previous 30 days.
It should also be noted that approval of an erosion control plan does not in any way
indicate approval of,or authorization to begin installation of Stormwater infrastructure
without City/County approved Construction Drawings.

Complete the following items to obtain a land disturbing permit:
l. Provide written approval for land disturbance from the Durham City-County
Planning Department in the form of an approved site plan, 'boning Compliance
Checkoff,or other written approval.
2. Upon installation of the tree protection fencing, if rcquirW- , submit a Tree
Protection Bence Certification Form and call this office for an inspection.
3. Submit a permit fee made payable to Durham County in the amount of$1,270.50.
4. A completed Financial Responsibility Ownership Form.
