Monthly monitoring is required for copper and zinc for all three outfalls. At a minimum, USM will sample all outfalls for both copper and zinc during the month of November 2019 and will continue BMP efforts to reduce concentrations of copper and zinc in stormwater runoff. The October 2019 sampling event was the fourth consecutive month in which the concentration of zinc in Outfall 003 exceeded the benchmark. Therefore, it is now subject to Tier III requirements. Should you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact me at 804-621- 7000 or mobile phone 815-693-5052. Sincerely, UNITED SCRAP METAL, INC.
