Dear Mr. Cabe:

WETLANDS AND STORMINATER BRANCH
Please reference your application of August 20, 2009 for a Department of the Army permit to
authorize work you propose to undertake within Hardee Creek, at the existing North Carolina
Wildlife Resources Commission's public boating access area, located off of Port Terminal Road,
in Greenville, Pitt County, North Carolina.
Upon the recommendation of the Chief of Engineers and under the provisions of Section 10 of
the Act of Congress approved March 3, 1899 (33 U.S.C. 403), entitled "An act making
appropriations for the construction, repair and preservation of certain public works on rivers and
harbors and for other purposes", you are hereby authorized by the Secretary of the Army to
remove the two existing concrete ramps and replace them with two new 28.6-foot long by 15-
foot wide concrete ramps, remove the existing 6-foot wide fixed dock and reinstall an 8-foot
wide floating dock of the same length as well as remove 42 cubic yards of accumulated sediment
from the end of the existing ramps.
It is understood that this instrument does not convey any property rights either in real estate or
material, or any exclusive privileges; and that it does not authorize any injury to private property,
or invasion of property rights, or any infringement of Federal, State or local assent required by
law for the authorized activity.
It is further understood that if this work is not completed on or before December 31, 2010,
this permit, if not previously revoked or specifically extended, shall cease and become null and
void.
There are enclosed plans, general and special conditions and notice of authorization (ENG
Form 4336). The notice of authorization must be conspicuously displayed at the work site. You
must notify us when the work is commenced and completed.
