Do not click links or open attachments unless you verify. Send all suspicious email as an attachment to report.spam@nc.gov Alan —thanks for taking the call earlier. Jim will send you a sketch breaking out the buffer areas and will send the mitigation request form to Kelly. I will get you a couple of current photos so that you can see the impacted areas. Are you good to go ahead and send us the water quality certification? We are trying to submit this to Duke tomorrow for our extension. Thank you. From: Johnson, Alan <alan.iohnson@ncdenr.gov> Sent: Wednesday, December 4, 2019 4:08 PM To: Steven Hinshaw <steven@hinshawproperties.com> Subject: RE: [External] Re: Seven Oaks Marina You have 762 linear ft (If) of shoreline for this parcel sq ft of zone 1 buffer. The fee for mitigation is 1.85/sq ft. of buffer impact. Which means you have a total of 22,860 X2 1 Buffer restoration is based on the area of impact (length of impact X buffer width). Restoration is at a rate of 260 trees/ac. Shown below is approx. length for the various segments of the parcel. I need photos from Shannon to confirm impact(s). He stated he could provide. Please read below. A phone call may be in order, once you've digested. Thanks, Alan Red - 180 ft (wooded) X 30 = 5,400 / 43,560 = 0.12 acre X 260 = 32 trees would be required to restore this section. I propose a minimum of 10 trees in a similar "row" through the buffer (1 tree every 10 ft of 30 ft of buffer) Orange — 75 ft (wooded), 14 trees for restoration Green — 176 ft (100 ft which was already free of trees), 14 trees for restoration Blue — 95 ft (which was clear of trees), no trees required A minimum of 60 trees would typically be required (3" diameter, 8 ft, native species) for restoration. If the blue is limited to just the 95 ft. The 28 trees (14 + 14) can be spread through the Orange, blue, and green areas in a similar manner as shown (no bunching). The aforementioned would be partial mitigation. Then For the wooded section(s), 255 X 30 = 7,560 sq ft., mitigation would be paid into the program at a reduced rate (for partial mitigation on site), since they aren't technically fully restored. The 30 X 30 launch pad would be mitigated at full rate. Storm water from the access/launch pad should not flow into the lake z r ,Am O—ZOCK ' r -rOkm' map* ti Area w kjmiks From: Steven Hinshaw[mailto:steven@hinshawproperties.com] Sent: Wednesday, December 4, 2019 11:27 AM To: Jim<jim@carolinalandsolutions.net>; Johnson, Alan <alan.iohnson@ncdenr.gov> Subject: [External] Re: Seven Oaks Marina c! mr7r.
