Send all suspicious email as an attachment to report.spam@nc.gov Hey Erin, I spoke with the engineer for this project and our justification for the width of the riprap is as follows: The riprap covers the area of proposed grading. It is to be placed to stabilize the grades around the bridge abutments, which will be cut (no fill anywhere for this project). The rip rap is sized to provide erosion protection for the abutments to prevent failure of the bridge. Please let me know if you need any further information. Please verify the stream on site. The project will be placed on HOLD until the additional information has been received. If all of the requested information is not received within 30 calendar days of receipt of this letter, the Division will be unable to approve the application and it will be returned. The return of this project will necessitate reapplication of the Division for approval, including a complete application package and the appropriate fee. Please be aware that you have no authorization under the Neuse Riparian Buffer Rules for this activity. Thank you.
