REGAN Secretary LINDA CULPEPPER Director Bruce Humble 6632 Smithwood Rd Liberty, NC 27298 NORTH CAROLINA Environmental Quality November 25, 2019 SUBJECT: Annual Compliance Inspection Permit AWS410016 Dear Mr. Humble, An annual Compliance Inspection of the subject permit was conducted on November 13, 2019. A copy of the inspection report is included for your records and review. Please take note of the following comments from the inspection and take action as needed: 1. A sludge survey will be required to be taken by the end of 2020. You plan to remove sludge yourself in the coming months. Please contact Guilford County Soil and Water to assist you with a sludge cleanout plan prior to removal of sludges in your treatment lagoons. Guilford County Soil and Water may also be able to assist you with conducting the sludge survey by radar if requested. 2. Soils analysis will be due again in 2020. 3. While the dams were in good structural condition at the time of inspection, some small cedars on the backside should be removed as soon as possible. 4. Reminder to include crop yields with waste application records. 5. A calibration of your waste application equipment is due by the end of the year or with the next waste application event. 6. The pressure gauge on the irrigation gun needs to be replaced. The gauge at the reel still looked to be in good condition. Thank you for your time during the inspection.
