Hi Michael,
The Division has completed the review for Bridge 168 replacement on NC 17/87 over Smith River. Prior to the issuance
of the 401 WQC, the Division is requesting comments regarding the following:
1. Is it possible for the new 36" pipe to be pulled back to the toe of the fill slope to reduce stream impacts? If so,
please attach the new plan sheet.
2. The BMP toolbox requires 6' width deck drain dissipater pad widths. The Plans appear to show a 4' width. Is it
possible to revise this? If so, please attach the new plan sheet.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
April
