STORMWATER PERMITTING
The monthly Stormwater Discharge Monitoring Report for October 2019 consists of this cover letter and
the attached climate report from the Western Regional Climate Center for the month of October 2019.
Orange County is currently in Tier II monitoring for the facility due to high TSS. There was only one
significant rain event during the month of October 2019. Precipitation of 1.25 inches fell on Sunday,
October 20, 2019 between the hours of 0100 and 0900. The Orange County Construction and Demolition
Landfill is closed on all Sundays and therefore there was no staff on -site to collect any samples.
Four other minor rainfall events occurred in October:
• Sunday, October 1P there was no staff onsite to monitor for run-off.
• Wednesday, October 16t`, Wednesday, October 30t' and Thursday, October 31'- On each of
these days the minor amount of precipitation was absorbed into the ground and therefore
there was no run-off to sample.
Orange County continues to monitor the installed BMP's that help to control the amount of onsite erosion
and subsequent discharge of contaminated water. This includes monitoring of the growth of our
vegetative cover and minimizing the amount of disturbed land. If you have any questions, please contact
