Dear Mr. Kleaveland:
? On December 18, 1998, I conducted a site visit of the stream feature of the
subject property. At your request, an evaluation was performed to determine whether
the site would require compliance with the Neuse River Buffer Requirements. There is a
intermittent stream located adjacent to the property which is subject to the Neuse Buffer
Rule (15A NCAC 2B .0233). The intermittent stream is located adjacent to parking area
on the attached map and flows to the back of the property. The intermittent stream is a
unnamed tributary to Lake Crabtree Class B Nutrient Sensitive Waters.
In addition, in accordance with this rule, sheet flow in zone 1 and zone 2 is
required. That is, sheet flow must be maintained to the maximum extent practical
through dispersing concentrated flow and/or re-establishment of vegetation to maintain
! . the effectiveness of the riparian area. This office has assigned the reference number of
NBR-RRO 166 to this project. Thank you for your attention to this matter and if this
