Box 97215 Raleigh, NC 27624-7215 NORTH CAROLINA Environmental Quality November 1, 2019 Subject: Compliance Evaluation Inspection NPDES Permit No. NCO060526 Pope Industrial Park WWTP Wake County Dear Mr. Finley: On October I, 2019, Cory Larsen with Wake County Department of Environmental Services, on behalf of the Division of Water Resources, performed a compliance evaluation inspection of the subject wastewater treatment system to evaluate compliance with the subject permit to discharge wastewater. William Lamm, ORC was present for the inspection and provided his assistance. Please refer to the attached inspection report for results in addition to this letter. On the day of the inspection, the plant was operating normally and producing normal quality effluent. The plant has undergone renovation to the upper walls of the clarifier, contact chamber, and post -aeration chambers to address previously identified structural integrity issues. The plant is well -operated and no compliance issues were noted during the inspection other than the need to keep a copy of the most recent permit onsite. Please make sure the ORC is provided copy of the latest permit as soon as possible to prevent future compliance problems. Please feel free to contact Cory Larsen at 919-480-9998 / corv.larsen(cbwake ov.com or me at (919) 791-4200 if you have any question regarding this inspection.
