Perquimans County Water Plant
Perquimans County
The subject permit was issued on September 8, 1983, for the discharge of filter
hacnwash to gill Creek. The flow is expected to be 7500 gpd. The point of discharge
is located approximately .6 mile west of the water treatment plant.
On behalf of Perquimans County, Mr. Ronald Sessoms, Rivers and Associates, Inc.,
has requested that the discharge point be relocated The,proposed discharge point
wouI4 be piped to an unnamed tributary to Mill Creek. This unnamed tributary is
ap;rmtimately 100 yards east of the water plant. The coerdfnat.es are: longitude
760.-26`.-05" and latitude 360-12'-49"..
It it not anticipated that this change would have any adverse effects on water
quality. It is recommended that the permit be amended to reflciet the new discharge
pa: xzt .
