Re: Response to Notice of Violation: NOV-2019-LV-0740
Mr. Tankard:
This letter is in response to the Notice of Violation (NOV-2019-LV-0740) that was recently issued
to the Corolla Light WWTP #1, in Currituck County.
Carolina Water Service of North Carolina still intends to cease operations that this facility and direct
flow to our Monteray Shores Wastewater facility that is located nearby. There are still ongoing
discussions with a local land developer in order to determine the most efficient plan to transport the
wastewater flow from Corolla Light WWTP #1.
We are continuing to monitor the situation closely and are working diligently to meet the limits set
forth in Permit No. WQ0006254. We will keep you informed of the progress and any updates
regarding this project. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to
