The purpose of this correspondence is to inform your office that I will no longer be Operator in
Responsible Charge at the WestRock Kraft Paper LLC Mill located at 100 Gaston Road, Roanoke
Rapids, NC. effective October 31, 2019. I will not be responsible for the Wastewater Treatment
Facility covered under permit #NC0000752, the Landfill Disposal of Residuals permit WQ0000436
and the Distribution of Residuals permit WQ0021577.
I will be retiring with 30 years of environmental compliance of the paper mill and 42 years of Water
and Wastewater operations experience. It has been a pleasure and an honor to work with the North
Carolina Department of Environmental Quality.
If there are any forms that need to be filed please send the information to Chris Williams who will
be taking my place as ORC at chris.m.willams(uwestrock.com and or Mike Knudson at
