The North Carolina Division of Water Resources conducted an inspection of the Town of Edenton
WWTF on 10/02/2019. This inspection was conducted to verify that the facility is operating in
compliance with the conditions and limitations specified in Non -discharge Permit No. WQ0004332. The
findings and comments noted during this inspection are provided in the enclosed copy of the inspection
report entitled "Compliance Inspection Report".

Inspection Summary
A Compliance Evaluation was completed on October 2, 2019, with Sarah Topper, Robert Tankard, and Megan Davis present
with NC Division of Water Resources. Present with the town was David Myer, ORC and Corey Gooden for there part of the
inspection.
The facility is currently under a Special Order by Consent(SOC) due to poor field conditions. The ORC is spraying on the
field less (only 2-2.5 hours at a time) than before the SOC and it seems to be helping. There are still sections that have
surface runoff, ponding and vegetative crop issues.
There was six feet of freeboard at the lagoon.
The ORC spoke about becoming Field Laboratory Certified. To find out more information about this certification call Tom

The facility is in noncompliance due to the conditions of the fields. Keep following the SOC time schedules. If you have any
