Fast forward 30 years and I dont feel like I can recognize the seasons as separate periods of time like when I was young. Throughout the news over the last several years, scientists have been talking about climate change and the harmful impacts it will have on this Earth. Extreme weather is now commonplace. Transitioning away from fossil fuels seems to be the most important thing us as the human race can do to try to preserve as much of this Earth as we can for future generations. The mine in gaston county is a step in the direction pivoting away from fossil fuel dependence. I urge this commission to approve the permit for Piedmont Lithium's mine. Sincerely, Albert Fuchs
