Subject: [External] [Mining Permit 92-10] Deny a new rock quarry permit - protect Crabtree Creek
The operation willll Ihave unduly adverse effects on Urnstead Park and its
wildlife and creek; it willll violate standards of air quality for those at
Urnstead Park; it constitutes a direct and substantiall IplhysicallIhazaird and
safety to a neighboring dwelling and other Ipublic and Iprlivate Ipropeirty; and
it willll Ihave an adverse effect on Ipubliic health for the town of Cary. The
experience with the current quarry indicates a sulbstantiall Ipossilbillity that
the proposed operation willll result lin large deposits of se61ment lin stream
beds; air and noise p6lHufion; shaking of nearby homes resulting 111in
dairnage; rock Iprojectilles handling on residential Ipropeirty; and the Ipossibilllity
of dairnagllng the water treatment Ipllant situated just yards away across
interstate 40.
