Michaell Regain, Secretary DEQ,
Good eveinlling,
I'm writing t1his message liin regards to the quarry at Uimstead Iparlk. l imoved to the triainglle
area liin 2016 from Atlainta for a dream job. I've Illived aIIII over the country wind Ihoped to settle liin
the Raleigh Duirhaim area. Upoin Illiviing theire l quickly discovered that the area was inot as
great of a Ipllace to raise a family as it was described. l noticed theire was ain abuindaince of
gireeinways Ibut inot much liin the way for Nikiing wind cycling. l thought for sure that RIDU was
going to come around to liinvesting liin the Ihealltlh wind well Ibeliing of its citizens with outdoor
activities as so imainy otheir cities Ihave, Ibut l quickly realized l was wiroing. After getting a
better feell for Ipollitics l realized that the cities coUldin't care less about the Ipeople that actually
hive theire. Putting a quarry inext to uimstead is Iirireslpoinsilble wind s1hoUld Ibe stopped. As l
realize imainy of you Ihave already made up your minds wind cashed your checks we decided
to imove. As crazy as it may sound t1his quarry wind the destruction of the associated tralOs was
oine of the primary ireasoins we decided to heave. It's inot too late to ir9iglht your wiroings wind stop
t1his quarry. Rlease take the inecessairy steps wind put the citizens first!
