HomeMy WebLinkAbout20220816_Application8/9/2022 TO: DENR DIV of ENERGY, MINERAL, AND LAND MINING PROGRAM FROM: Steven Blankenbeker Taylor Clay Products, Inc. P O Box 2128 Salisbury, NC 28145 Re: CANDOR MINE (62-04) — Montgomery County — Modification Taylor Clay Products is submitting this mine modification for its clay mine in Montgomery County. A few years ago some surface material was taken from an area adjacent to the current excavation for fill at a local school construction site. Our current excavation at the northeast end of the pit and permit has encroached on this area, and in looking at a recent aerial we may have gone off the permit here. This modification should take care of this. All drainage from these areas has been contained within the current pond system. We have some acreage that is ready for release of bond so I don't suspect that there will be any issues there. I will be glad to meet with DENR at the site to go over this modification.
