Creek
Michaell Regain, Secretary DEQ,
The operation willll Ihave uindUly adverse effects on Urnstead Park and its wildlife and creek; it
willll VVIate standards of air quality for those at Urnstead Park; it constitutes a direct and
substainfiall Iplhysicall Ihazaird and safety to a neighboiring dwelling and other Ipublic and Iprlivate
propeirty; and it willll Ihave an adverse effect on Ipubllic health for the town of Cary. The
experience with the current quarry liindlicates a substainfiall possibility that the proposed
operation will result liin large deposits of se61ment liin stream (beds; air and noise p6lHufioin;
shaking of nearby homes iresullting liin dairnage; rock Iprojectilles handling on iresident4l Ipropeirty;
and the possibility of dairnaglling the water treatment Ipllaint situated just yards away across
interstate 40.
