First of all, since it appears that the resolution of these issues is taking longer than expected, please accept this request to extend the timeline for response to the August 11, 2021 letter. I believe we should be able to resolve all of it within another 6 months (i.e.. by August 11, 2022). Secondly, there is a question regarding your comment #8 ('Please clarify the offsite spoil site....'). The Town will continue the practice of selling the vast majority of the spoils to contractor(s) who will in turn sell it for concrete/paving and fill material. As for the remainder of the material (which is expected to be a minimal amount), one particular site had been planned but the Town has recently converted the municipal golf course to Town greenspace, which has opened up the opportunity for disposal of dredged material in low spots around that property. The area is located here: https: oo.gl/maps/sMtBdzHz5za24RJF9. While there is no particularly definable plan for exactly where the spoils will be applied, areas for application will include old sand traps and other depressed areas with minimal runoff. Wherever runoff may occur, silt fence will be placed as necessary, along with any check dams in swales or any other measures applicable to preclude possible transport of sediment into nearby drainage ways. We would appreciate clarification as to what may be needed for this alternate solution for excess spoils disposal. Please feel free to call with any questions. Thanks. Sea Brian R.
