30-acre Rogers Nursery and Landscaping, Inc. Mining Permit, Beaufort County,

We have received additional maps submitted by managers of Roger's Nursery and Landscaping, Inc.
showing the actual layout of the proposed Rogers Pit #2 mine in Beaufort County. After careful review of
the documents, we have determined that an archaeological survey is not a recommended course of action
due to the previous disturbance of the tract from agriculture and mining activities. We therefore rescind the
recommendation, in a letter dated May 20, 2021, that an archaeological survey be conducted over the tract.
The above comments are made pursuant to Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act and the
Advisory Council on Historic Preservation's Regulations for Compliance with Section 106 codified at 36
CFR Part 800.
