The proposed quarry expansion near RDU has great potential to introduce excessive particulate matter and
noise to neighboring areas at Lake Crabtree Park, where numerous citizens enjoy recreational activities
(walking, biking, etc.). Many enjoy these activities to improve mental and physical health, however the health
benefits can be compromised by air and noise pollutants.
Please abort plans to damage forested lands that the public enjoy near RDU. A few will profit while many will
be adversely impacted by air and noise pollution and the loss of natural areas for outdoor recreation.
