To whom it may concern,
I am currently building a house in the Coves and live in Lenoir. We moved here from MD last year. To think that
elected officials are actually considering allowing a mining operation in Caldwell County is unbelievable. Isn't it
bad enough that they have allowed trash from neighboring counties to be brought in to the local landfill creating,
literally, a MOUNTAIN of trash. The residents living near the landfill and proposed mining operation should not
have to deal with more abuse of the local environment. Not to mention any water contamination that may occur.
