Please review and let me know if I can provide additional information. 1. Please provide a Jurisdictional Determination from the US Army Corps of Engineers to ensure that the wetland boundaries are accurately buffered. Response: Attached to this package is an approved JD Map signed by the Army Corps of Engineers certifying the wetlands line as shown on the Mining Site Plans. 2. Please include Erosion and Sediment Control (E&SC) measures and show on the map in the NW area of the mine to ensure no offsite sediment leaves the property during clearing and grubbing. Response: Silt fence is now proposed along the northern boundary of the mining operation. 3. During site inspection a ditch was noticed running through the mine boundary leading north to 404 wetlands. E&SC measures need to be installed and shown on the map to prevent offsite sediment leaving site via the ditch during clearing and grubbing. Response: A note addressing this ditch has been added to the Mining Map stating, "Existing ditch beside haul road shall have stone check dams every 200' and tie into mining operation to prevent sediment from leaving site." I have spoken with contractor and he understands to outlet the ditch into the "pond". There is also a ditch stabilization detail on the plans. Sincerely, l— Charles M.
