Proposed mine site off of Whitehall Road in Columbus County. Geology is Peedee Formation
Cretaceous age. Sand, clayey sand, and clay, greenish gray to olive black, massive, glauconitic
(green mineral, closely related to the micas and essentially a hydrous potassium iron silicate).
