Road Cyclists to callll for the deii of the Miii Permit under subsection (5) (because it willll Ihave a siginffiicaint adverse effect on the Ipuirposes of the gireeinway system, and otheir IpulbBlicly owined irecreatioii areas Iby lincreasing air and dust Ipolllution. The East Coast Gireeinway iruins the entire Ileingtlh of the west side of the inew quarry pit, and t1his creates an llincreased ir9islk of exposure to dust, PM2.5, and PM 10 for the thousands of people Ipeir day that use that tral!ll for routine daily exercise. Allowing Ilogglling trucks on the girav6l Ipoirtion of the East Coast Gireeinway will create safety issues and ad6fioii exposure to resuspended dust, as the tral!ll is Ibulillt using the quarry fines from Wake Stone. Using water suppression on the giravell traH willl oii create a muddy Ihazaird for Ibotlh the Ilogglling trucks and the irecreatioii users. The East Coast Gireeinway tral!ll is inot designed to meet the weight reqUireiments of Ilogglling trucks, and they willl also exceed the weight limit on the siii Maine Ibrlidge fuirtheir down ON Reedy Creek Road that goes over Crabtree Greek. Rlacing Ilogglling trucks or quarry trucks on t1his traH and siinglle Maine Ibrlidge is daingeirous and shoUld Ibe Iprolhlibited. The conffict with Ipedestrlians, cyclists, and dog walllkeirs wiH create an unacceptable Ihazaird to the clNlOdirein, adufts, and eMeiriy who use this tralO at allkl hours of the day. There is a inew traHhead abing OM Reedy Creelk Road, and inew Crabtree Creelk TiraH that was irecently added that has iresullted llin an lincreased usage of these traHs Iby Ipedestriians, cyclists and dog waflkeirs. In addition, 1I have serious concerns about the ireclairnatioin Iplain for this project. The funds allklocated for ireclairnatioin woUld seem to Ibe woefUlkly linadequate, and 1I see ino Iprovlisioin for enforcement of even this miinllirnall "ireclairnafioin". WoUld funds Ibe IhelN llin escrow? What woUld happen if the funds allklocated are Iiinsuffiicient to complete the ireclairnatioin (process? What happens if Walke Stone chooses to restructure to discharge their reclairnatioin obligation? Thank you for aHowing the citizens to Ibe heard duirling this dfficuft time, and (please deny this Ipeirmit Matthew Jenkins matt.c.menkinsCaD_gmail.com 100 Evans Estates Dr. Cary, North Cairofina 27513
