Michaell Regain, Secretary DEQ,
Good Afternoon,
l aim widting today over concerns l Ihave about the (proposed expansion of the RIDU irock
quarry. l frequent L.ake Crabtree and Uimstead Ipairk often and comini move Ibetweein the
two. This inew quarry wound distuirb Ibotlh areas and wound taii this inatui4l geim. These
pairks are liirnpoirtaint to the tdainglle and make it a more appealIlIing (place to hIve, do business,
etc... If we are wHfiing to give (huge Ilinceintive Ipaclkages to compainies llin the spirit of corporate
devellopmeint protecting this area shoUld Ibe ino Iprobleirn. It is a good liinvestrnent. We may lose
tax ireveinue from inot having the quarry but we will Iprotect the triainglle's high qualIlIty of life
reviews (wNlch coimni attract inew jobs). We shoUld Iprotect these areas and treat theim
like the vaIluable assets they are.
