RE: Banks Landscaping, LLC
Proposed Ives Pit
Jones County
Dear Mr. Parr,
The following addresses the comments in your letter dated July 19, 2021. Thank you for the 60-
day extension.
1. See enclosed Floodplain Development Permit (No. 2200174) from Paul Ingram,
Floodplain Administrator for Jones County.
2. The correct acreage is 13.84. The 14.34 noted is a typo.
3. As noted in the application, an excavator will also be used. The arm of the excavator
can reach below the water.
4. A silt fence will be installed around the entire perimeter. There is an existing excavation
area that can be used as a basin.
5. A silt fence will be used in lieu of a berm. That was required to get the flood plain
permit, which was needed to address item number one. The fence will be installed
before any mining activity begins. See enclosed revised mine map.
6. The reclamation map is enclosed.
Two copies of the revised map are enclosed. If you have any questions or need additional
information, do not hesitate to contact me at 252-258-4037.
Sincerely,
Marc K. Edwards
