I received Notice of the application referenced above from Ararat Rock Products Company,
Mount Airy, NC, along with a map defining their existing permitted area for mining granite and
their proposed new permit area.
As a property owner potentially impacted by this expansion, I am writing to respectfully request
that this application for modification be addressed in a public hearing so that all property
owners and concerned citizens have a forum to be heard and can receive appropriate
information to understand all risks associated with this expansion.
