1. THE PURPOSE OF THIS MAP IS TO SHOW THE AREAS PERMITTED UNDER THE EXISTING MINING PERMIT AND ADJUST THE MINE PERMIT
ACREAGE TO MATCH THE SITE TOPOGRAPHY. ALL PROPOSED DISTURBED AREAS WERE PERMITTED UNDER PREVIOUS MODIFICATIONS.
2. THE PLANT SUPERINTENDENT ADDS ADDITIONAL SILT TRAPS WITHIN THE SITE TO COLLECT SEDIMENT CLOSER TO THE DISTURBED AREAS AND
FACILITATE THE REMOVAL OF SEDIMENT. THESE MEASURES ARE TEMPORARY AND ARE NOT SHOWN ON THE MINE MAP.
3. EROSION CONTROL MEASURES SHOWN IN DARK GREEN WERE PREVIOUSLY APPROVED OR ARE TEMPORARY MEASURES INSTALLED BY THE
PLANT. EROSION CONTROL MEASURES SHOWN IN DARK RED ARE PROPOSED. OTHER SYMBOLS MAY BE USED TO DELINEATE EROSION CONTROL
MEASURES. REFER TO SITE NOTES.
4. FEMA FLOOD FRINGE AREAS ARE BASED ON THE CURRENT NORTH CAROLINA FLOODPLAIN MAPPING PROGRAM DFIRM GEODATABASE MAPPING
