boundary and a one -mile project radius in the contexts of our Underserved Communities Map, the
NCDEQ Community Mapping System tool that identifies permitted facilities and reported incidents, and
USEPA's EJSCREEN.

We're expecting an application for a mining permit for the Piedmont Lithium project in mid -July. I've
attached a location map for the site and was wondering if you could give us a preliminary idea of any
EJ communities in the area. It would be good to discuss any issues with them and Gaston County
prior to getting the application. If you need additional information to conduct the review, please let
me know.
