An inspection was made of.the above mine on February 13; 2001 in accordance with.-G.S.
74-56 of the Mining Act of 1971.
The 141 acre area at the site requested to be released, as indicated on the mine map
dated August 30, 1999, has been found to be undisturbed. Therefore, your company is released
from further reclamation responsibility for this area with respect to the Mining Act of 1971.
In light of the above mentioned partial release and because of the use of digital
photography which allows for greater accuracy, the permitted and affected acreage at this site
have changed. Your company's permitted acreage is now 296.06 acres and the amount of land
your company is allowed to disturb at this site is 79.55 acres.

Enclosed are two (2) copies of the Annual Reclamation Report for the
above referenced mine. Please note that the acreages have been
changed (a revised mine map is attached), These changes are
directly due to the use of digital aerial photography which allows for
much greater detailed mapping rather than estimations of acreage
obtained from blue line reproductions. Additionally, it was discovered
that 141 undisturbed acres located in the eastern portion of the
permitted property no longer belonged to Solite Corporation.
Because the aerial photography does not include this property, we
have attached a copy of the most recent plat of the property, The 141
acres shown to be owned by Solite Corporation are actually owned by
John W. Roberts (purchased from Solite Corporation on September
30, 1992), For your convenience we have attached a copy of the
deed record that addresses this property transfer.
