Hello Adam,
I was able to slip out there yesterday afternoon.
I walked around a majority of it, I have a few issues, but I noticed nothing major. Unfortunately, my
copy of the permit has disappeared, imagine that. Please send us another copy from your files at
your convenience.
In summation, they need to mark their borders. They are leaving space between the mining
activities and the blue line stream as I'm sure was outlined on their mine map, had to have been.
They are starting to clear land towards the west side, but it was clear they were leaving a buffer, it
just wasn't marked.
However, some of the borders don't need to be marked because there are fence posts with dog wire
fencing around most of the property, those have remained intact.
They are pumping across the ditch now into a sediment trap that looks good and maintained, that
was not there last time. However, they do have what I'll call and emergency overflow that goes into
the "non-blueline ditch" which then goes unabated into the actual blue line ditch. They have their
old little rock check dam on the other side of the overflow, so if it goes, there's no treatment.
Please feel free to call me if you have any questions, again, I didn't have a mine map in front of me,
but I have a good idea of what they're doing.
Thanks,
