Hi Creighton,
Attached is our comment sheet for mine 16-86 in Carteret County. The mine is close to Goose Creek
which is classified SA; HQW. This mine has a few wetland "pockets" within the permit boundary and
they intend to dewater. We are asking for a JD from USACE so that these wetland pockets can be
buffered accurately, and we are asking for an C&M Plan to demonstrate that dewatering will not
affect these wetlands.
