Hi Adam,
Thank you for your call today.
Please see the two attached maps of the property, from the Caldwell County GIS web map.
The Caldwell County GIS map of the property shows contour data and the potential blue line stream.
There is a strong crenulation where the blue line is shown. The proposed basin would be near the
bottom of the crenulation. There is another crenulation adjacent to the blue line that is not as
strong, but this feeds into the area where the basin is proposed. That is why I am concerned about
impacts to potential jurisdictional features.
The Division would like a statement indicating that no wetlands or streams will be disturbed for this
project from the applicant. If any disturbance is proposed to wetlands or streams, the applicant will
need to discuss 404/401 permitting with USACE and NCDWR.
Sincerely,
Amy Annino

Amy,
Thanks for providing the comments. Jenna has left DEQ and I'm handling the review of this
application. If you have a moment, would you mind giving me a call to clarify the request for a 401?
I'm drafting the letter to the applicant and I want to be sure I cover your requests.
Thanks,
Adam Parr
