Dear Mr. Threat:
This letter is to advise you of a correction to the permit cover letter dated November 30, 2020. The cover
letter incorrectly stated that your permitted acreage at this site is 321.81 acres and the amount of land you
are approved to disturb is 86.76 acres.
The correct statement is that your permitted acreage at this site is 302.03 acres and the amount of land you
are approved to disturb is 86.76 acres.
This letter is an administrative correction and does not modify the existing permit. The mine maps listed
in Table 3.1— Mine Maps Revision Table shall continue to serve as the basis for mining activities. Please
attach this letter to the cover of your existing mining permit for future reference.
The conditions of Mining Permit No. 01-10 were based primarily upon information supplied in the
application with conditions added as necessary to ensure compliance with The Mining Act of 1971. G.S.
§74-65 states that the issuance of a mining permit does not supersede or otherwise affect or prevent the
enforcement of any zoning regulation or ordinance duly adopted by an incorporated city or county or by
any agency or department of the State of North Carolina.
As a reminder, your permitted acreage at this site is 302.03 acres and the amount of land you are approved
to disturb is 86.76 acres.
