Due to my health problems , I cannot attend this meeting. However, I know
New London well. It will totally destroy this old town, full of old churches & schools for the handicapped, and post
office .
(There are ) a lot of ole historical homes that were built by the local people that worked in the mine .
My home place is where WW II maneuvers camped and could get out of the bad weather in New London churches.
They slept on granite rocks behind my home .
A lot of the homes and churches are brick.
Kent Newport is my spokes person.
His father was a P.O.W. during WW II.
Hope this will never pass.
I told Raleigh this town does not deserve this .
I pray God will save it.
