Mr. Miller:
As you know, Meridian Brick LLC is in the process of divesting its Gulf Mine No. 3 (permit no. 19-11).
Conversations between yourself and Mr. Russ Patterson have indicated that, in order to facilitate a
cleaner transfer, Meridian Brick should submit a request for a partial release of acreage included in
the permit.
To that end, please accept this letter as such a request. The documents attached are as follows:
1. Gulf Mine No. 3 Renewal Application from July 2011
2. Reclamation Plan
3. Aerial identifying areas for which we are requesting release
I do not plan to submit any hardcopies unless requested by your office. Therefore, please let me
know if such physical documents/maps are required.
Finally, we would like to coordinate a site visit to assess the mine and areas for which we are
requesting release. In doing so, please copy both Russ Patterson and myself on any correspondence
related to the coordination of a site visit at russ@pattersonexploration.com and
david.mckeownCcDmeridianbrick.com .
Thank you for your time and consideration of this request and if you have any questions or
comments regarding the enclosed, please contact me at (803) 691-3121.
Sincerely,
/,David McKeown
