Mr. Miller:
On behalf of Tim Morton Trucking, LLC, Wasiela Consulting PLLC is submitting the enclosed
Mining Permit Application for the referenced project with supporting attachments and
information. The property is owned by Anita M. Scott and being leased to Tim Morton
Trucking, LLC for mining purposes. This property was previously used as a NCDOT Borrow
Pit permitted by Balfour Beatty Infrastructure, Inc. (BBI) from 2017 through early 2020.
Following completion of NCDOT borrow activities, the disturbed land was seeded and as -built
topography generated (via drone) by BBI. This as -built information was utilized by Wasiela
Consulting PLLC for purposes of developing a Mine Permit Plan set. We also utilized previous
NCDOT permitting wetland delineations as well as cultural/historic preservation
documentation. Previously completed studies are included in this submittal for reference.
Notifications have been submitted to Jones County Manager (Frankie Howard) as well as
landowners within 1,000 feet of the proposed mine boundary via certified mail. A figure
illustrating location of landowners is included with this submittal.
A listing of attachments included in this Permit Application Submittal include:

• Surrounding Property Owners within 1,000-feet of proposed mine boundary (Figure)
