It has been reported that wake stone was abke to claim that there were TYPOS in the legal contracts and that they wanted to make ADMINISTRATIVE changes. The changes they made (in 2018) effectively nullified the sunset clause. Wake stone tricked DEQ. Wake stone tricked the residents of NC Wake stone accomplished a legal stunt that makes it possible for them to keep mining, in an expanded area adjacent to a beloved and heavily trafficked state park. Wake stone only cares about the short term money they make. We are all pawns to be taken advantage of. Please do not enable them to further leverage their connections while destroying our beautiful region. There are countless other areas to mine, and perhaps wake stone should not be the form awarded the rights to do that future mining SINCE WE KNOW THEY DO NOT HONOR THEIR COMMITTMENTS , like the Sunset Clause.
