An inspection was made of the above mine on December 29, 2021, in accordance with G.S. §74-56 of the
Mining Act of 1971.
The mine was found to be satisfactorily reclaimed. Therefore, you are released from further reclamation
responsibility for this site with respect to the Mining Act of 1971.
The Division is returning your cash security in the sum of$19,000.00 to you for your disposal. A check
for this amount will come in a separate letter.

Request.On December 1, 2022, Central Office received a signed released request from Jeff Earp,for
release of Funston Company Inc Mine, Mine Permit Number 10-96.
On December 29, 2022, Creighton Brown, Env.Specialist I,of the Wilmington Regional office inspected
the Funston Company Inc Mine and found it was releasable.
On January 26, 2022,the Program received a Substitute W-9 from Jeff Earp.
Area to be released is 22.79 acres.The sites permit is for a life of mine permit
Inspection Results.On December 29,2022, Creighton Brown, Env.Specialist I,of the Wilmington
Regional office inspected the Funston Company Inc Mine and found it was releasable.
Decision. The site visited and the inspection report confirms that subject site is satisfactory reclaimed.
The amount of security was$19,000.00.The security was a cash bond. The security is to be returned to
Jeff Earp, President of the company.
