An inspection was made of the above mine on October 5, 2022, in accordance with G.S. §74-56 of the
Mining Act of 1971.
The mine was found to be satisfactorily reclaimed. Therefore, you are released from further reclamation
responsibility for this site with respect to the Mining Act of 1971. I am retuming your Assignment of
Savings Account No. 8340001707455 issued by BB&T in the sum of$12,100.00 to you for your disposal.

Request.On September 1, 2022,Central Office received a signed released request from Joseph V.
Parrish, II,for Release of Joseph Parrish Mine, Permit Number 21-16.
On October 5, 2022, Scott Graboski, Environmental Specialist I,of the Washington Regional Office
inspected the Joseph Parrish Mine and found it was releasable.
Area to be released is 18.81 acres.
Inspection Results.On September 2, 2022,Scott Graboski, Environmental Specialist I,of the Washington
Regional Office inspected the Joseph Parrish Mine and found it was releasable.
Decision. The site visited and the inspection report confirms that subject site is satisfactory reclaimed.
As documented in this memorandum,the Mining Program recommends release of 18.81 acres.The
amount of security was$12,100.00.The security was an Assignment of Saving Account from BB&T. The
security is to be re ed to J. Parrish, IL
